What is PBIS?
It is a systematic approach that supports a child’s development of social and emotional skills using positive language and positive reinforcement methods.

Who Uses this Approach?
We encourage you as a parent and/or caregiver, to use this at home along with your child’s teachers and UDCNS Staff. Many of the school districts use PBIS throughout the State of PA. However, we are one of the few Pre–Schools that have implemented these methods throughout our ENTIRE school.
 

Why is UDCNS Committed to this Model For the Entire School?
Research indicates that future success in the elementary school years and beyond is directly related to early behavioral success. Children that are taught these necessary skills early greatly improve their future learning success.
