Dec 17 - 21 We did it, got through the last week counting down to Christmas (4 more sleeps!) We focused on angels and shepherds as in our fingerplay. We hope our best gift, the pageant, was well received. I know we are all proud of their songs and story (sheep in particular). The other handmade gift goes under the tree until Christmas, no peeking. We also labelled our baby gifts and put them with Jesus on our hallway bulletin board. The walls got decorated with some colorful Christmas trees that will keep things festive until we return on Wed. 1/2. We read multiple Christmas stories and a special one from a mouse's point of view, ask your child if they recognize it. Dec 10 - 14
Jj had us jumping with James and Judy in the Jj song. We also jingled a lot as we continue our pageant practices! We made candy cane cookies that actually turned into J's for Jesus, what a story. On our bulletin board we weaved a cozy blanket for Jesus and surrounded him with adorable candy canes. We have been working on a secret gift that you just have to wait for and the excitement also builds as we rip off links on our Advent chain daily to countdown to Christmas. Finding "Jimmy" our elf, is fun too. Adding another purple candle to our wreath tells us we're getting close too but it is sure hard to wait. Gym distracted us with jumping jacks, jiggling and jump rope. Mrs. Condeelis told us the story of The Stick Man, a great family story. One week to go......
