We danced a lot this week, zumba moves, African chant motions and even the electric slide with Mrs. Trauger's class. We reviewed A-D on the whiteboard with plenty of words along with playing with alphabet pieces, bears, candy corn and dice. We explored the science of air by blowing different weighted items with a straw. Our art included dot markers, crayoning our house and cutting our family members. Math came alive as we rolled the dice and counted which number rolled out the most! We will shine in our photos as Mr. Chris joked to get our smiles out. Ms. Livvy retold the story of Jonah and the whale but we recalled the lesson as we made our tube art reinforcing the message to "listen to God". Ms. McDonnell read Twas the Night Before Halloween and we talked about what our costumes will be, it's exciting.
We danced throughout the week celebrating Dd and ate donuts for snack. We made our own arks and rainbows to reinforce Noah's story, check the hallway. We reviewed shapes and patterns. We pounded out words in playdough to review syllables, it was fun. Our theme of family fun had us talk about what we do together.
Outside we moved our school garden to the winter "hoop house" so we'll have lettuce, radishes, carrots all winter (hopefully!) Ask us about Chicks and Salsa a fun story in library.

We care for our family in many ways so we talked about that and we wrote a caring note to a friend to review the concept. Caring starts with Cc along with: candy corn cookies (we made for snack, they crumbled!), scissor cutting, cups, and chalk. We heard the story of Noah's ark and had fun playing with a wooden one and a colorforms one to count animals 2x2. We also talked about healthy cooking by identifying good foods in our play kitchen! We heard about The Monster of the Woods at library and also heard If You Give A Mouse a Cookie to tie into our cooking.

We began the "My family" unit and identified who is in ours. We setup our class jobs chart and began our rotation of responsibilities.
