Our community has people and their jobs help everyone! We identified some of those jobs, firefighter, policeman, librarian and so on. The letter Ff brought feather painting, flying like angels to music, freeze dancing with Pre-K and felt playsets. We loved being real florists. We also began earning kindness feathers on our little turkey. Chapel taught us about grown up Moses who somehow parted the sea for God's people, pretty amazing. We have begun some map work, talking about distances, near and far and how to get to places in our community to work our math brains. We made special gifts for our grandparents and are excited for their visit. We also heard a funny llama llama story at library about grandparents.
We enjoyed Fall with fun songs with Ms. Linda at music, came to Fall Festival, acted out our pumpkin chant and collected new items for our science bin. We began our Community unit, read a great story about that and built them with blocks and alphabet town boxes. We explored Ee by drawing an elephant, identifying E’s in the Itsy Bitsy Spider rhyme, cutting and coloring eggs and trying to estimate items (not so easy, we want to count first). Chapel talked about Baby Moses and his adventure in a basket. We worked our heart going through stations at gym. At library time we reviewed the alphabet with some naughty little monkeys! Finally, our marble jar is full so we’re celebrating all that class kindness with some special surprise snacks on Monday, yippee!
