Apr 27- May 1
MUSIC. M’s.Linda is back with another min- music lesson and this one is about rain. That’s been the weather throughout April so let’s sing about it and know how much it helps everything grow.
CHAPEL. Follow along in the Spark’s Bible with the story about Jesus appearing on the road to Emmaus
LIBRARY. Check out this site to get your child reading those easy reader books, no need to download just select an e-book and they can read aloud and finger swipe the words!
GYM. Give you brain a break and move with The Learning Station.
SCIENCE. Talk about the weather cycle, it starts with rain, gets absorbed into the ground or sits then evaporates back up into the sky.. See pic below and have your child draw their own version. For extra fun, get a coffee filter and draw a rainbow on it then spray water on it and see how the filter absorbs the colors, just like condensation
MUSIC. Check out ABCMouse’s vvvvvvvvideo for letter V, I like it. The other option is to sing along in Scholastic ABC Songbook, this one focuses on playing the imaginary violin. Attached is a violin factsheet that helps you think and write out numbers, remember when Ms. Linda brought in her real one I tried to play it? It’s not easy....
CHAPEL. Jesus rose from the dead but that’s hard to understand. Check out this bible lesson showing how the apostle Thomas doubted that Jesus was really alive. Talk about doubt, it’s a real feeling and we can trust God can get us through ANY doubt, trust Him.
LIBRARY. Follow along withMrs. Devlin as you hear about Miss Smith and her Incredible Storybook
GYM Dance Party! It gets your heart pumping and it’s fun. Recognize this song??? https://youtu.be/pjvQZzkeI_o
SCIENCE. Vv is the letter this week and Volume is the concept to test. Measure out 1 cop of water in a measuring cup then pour that amount of water into a variety of containers to show the amount is the same but see how it fills the different spaces vary between short cups or bowls, tall vases, wide containers etc. Line up 3 containers and compare how 1/2 cup of water or any liquid looks in one versus another. Can you identify all the Vv words in this section? (Answer: 5)
